Madison gets a buzz helping others
An 11-year-old girl from Andrews Farm has taken the brave decision to shave her beautiful blonde hair in a bid to raise awareness and money for the Leukaemia Foundation.

St Thomas More School, in Elizabeth Park, Year 6 student Madison Moyle had sadly seen many of her close family members affected by cancer and had felt powerless to help.

Her mum Sam said Madison recently decided to put her hand up for the World's Greatest Shave and would completely shave off her long locks.

"She is just such a selfless person, we are incredibly proud of her,'' Sam said.

St Thomas More School is getting behind Madison, hosting her shaving event on Friday 13 March.

School Prinicpal Chris Platten said he was in awe of Madison's commitment to helping others.

"Our school is founded on the Mercy Values, which include compassion and courage and I think Madison is demonstrating these ideals so well,'' he said.

"We are incredibly proud to have her in our ranks and we hope the community will get behind Madison to reach her goal.''

Madison hopes to raise $1000 and donations can be made HERE
